Mirador Torre Glories is a project where, together with John Talabot and María Arnal, we created an interactive soundscape for the exhibition at the Mirador de Torre Glories. The exhibition is conceived as a 10-year project, and the music for the space was designed to evolve over that time, using data from the city as a source of inspiration.
To generate the “soundtrack” for the space, I designed and programmed algorithmic music software capable of creating and improvising music in real time using data from the city of Barcelona. This data is extracted from APIs and includes information such as the city’s temperature, humidity, sea level, pollution, transportation flows, and more.
