AI Vectors is a multimedia installation with an industrial aesthetic, featuring five robotic arms and a laser.
AI Vectors explores the AI of the robots as they search for a ray of light. The interplay between the beam of light and the movements of the robotic arms generates geometric light patterns that fill the space, creating a stunning interaction of reflections that enhances the audience’s perception.
For this installation, I coded a script in the robot control unit to enable control in pseudo real-time via a network protocol and designed the show control system.
The show was presented at the Digital Arts Festival MIRA 2016, in collaboration with Stäubli.
